IMPRS-TP welcomes applications from doctoral candidates coming from any country who hold a

• Master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field or a
• Medical Degree

Applications from trainee medical doctors with laboratory experience are particularly encouraged.

 

Application timelines

The application window for the IMPRS-TP PhD program that starts in 2024 is now closed. 

• Final selection process: March-May 2024
• Start date: September to October 2024

The application window for the IMPRS-TP PhD program that starts in 2025 will open again on August 15th 2024. Please note the following timeline:

• All applications have to be submitted in English through our Online Application Tool. The application period for the 2025 intake will open again on August 15th, 2024. 
• Application deadline: October 31st 2024 (24:00 Central European Time)
• Deadline for references: November 7th 2024 (24:00 Central European Time)

Travel expenses and accommodation for the interview will be covered by IMPRS-TP, where applicable.

Please note that you need to have a Master’s or medical degree or equivalent in a relevant field prior to starting the PhD program.

 

Applicants have to submit:

• Academic records (High School, Bachelor and Master’s transcripts)
• 2 brief essays
  • Describing the student’s prior research experience
  • Describing the motivation/reasons for their interest in the IMPRS-TP program, along with their research goals
• At least 3 group preferences along with an outline of their specific research interests
