Current Issues in Research Methodology Workshop

18.01.2024 – 14.03.2024

The current replication crisis is increasingly studied and debated in the Neurosciences and Psychology, but gets scant attention in Psychiatry.

This course addresses the methodological elephant in the room by covering current topics in basic research methodology.

When can a researcher claim causality, what's the problem with underpowered studies, does p<0.05 mean anything,

what can subjective ratings tell us, which criteria should a clinical test fulfill?

These and other questions will be addressed with weekly presentations and discussions on current, influential methodological papers - that also apply to your own research work
