Neuropathology of Psychiatric and Neurological Diseases and the Impact of Brain Banking on Neuroscience
Arzberger, Schmitt
Despite new insights from MRI studies showing volume reduction and altered activation of brain regions, the underlying neuropathology of psychiatric and neurodegenerative diseases is only partly understood.
The IMPRS-TP neuropathology workshop aims to give insight in findings on the cellular level using modern microscopy. It includes lectures on neuropathology of psychiatric and neurodegenerative diseases by a psychiatrist and a neuropathologist, anatomical dissection of human brains, and a microcopic course on different neuropathological alterations in the human brain.
